Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Boros Monet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bread Panterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Monet comes to the ring accompanied by Downstait - Open Your Eyes. Panterson has chosen New Beginnings as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Boros Monet! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bread Panterson! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Monet throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Panterson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Monet pushes Panterson off and gets back to his feet.
Monet stuffs the takedown. Panterson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Monet cracks Panterson with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes. Monet moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Monet swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nice sprawl there from Monet as Panterson shoots in. Boros Monet has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bread Panterson. Monet moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Monet looks to score with a jab to the body but Panterson is just out of range. Panterson tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Panterson looks for a takedown but Monet sprawls well. Monet connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Panterson momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Monet defending well as Panterson loads up on a big left hand. Panterson misses with a double jab.
Monet feints a jab promting Panterson to slip. Monet then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Panterson slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Panterson shoots for a double leg takedown but Monet sprawls well. He's pushed Panterson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Boros Monet is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nice sprawl there from Monet as Panterson shoots in. Panterson shoots in for a double leg but Monet sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Panterson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Monet with a body punch. A glancing blow. Monet sizes up Panterson with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Monet lands a body shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Monet lands a glancing blow to the side of Panterson's head. No luck for Panterson with that takedown attempt. Monet throws a leg kick which misses Panterson's front leg but catches the back leg as Panterson tries to avoid it. Panterson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. No luck with that takedown attempt from Panterson. As Panterson looks to move away, Monet throws a big counter combo but Panterson just gets out of the way. Panterson blocks a head kick by Monet.
Monet lands with a right hand. Panterson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Monet counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Panterson fails to land the takedown.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Panterson has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Monet. Panterson tries for a takedown but Monet circles away easily and Monet connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Panterson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Panterson trying to pass the guard but Monet defending well. Monet trying to control from the bottom.
Panterson is working for a submission of some sort.
Panterson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Monet is just riding it out for now. Panterson eventually gives up the hold. Monet wants to control but Panterson is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Panterson is looking to take a break and control but Monet is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Monet is controlling Panterson's position as best he can from this difficult position. Panterson tries to pass to full mount but Monet defends it. Panterson frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Monet gets back to half guard. Panterson prevents Monet from standing back up.
Monet controlling the position well. Panterson wants to pass to mount but Monet is defending the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Boros Monet dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Panterson shoots in and gets a takedown into Monet's guard. Panterson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Monet is keeping the position for now. Panterson wants to control from the top but Monet keeps moving. Monet lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Monet trying to control but Panterson is working from the bottom. Panterson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Monet gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Monet pushing down on Panterson's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Monet in particular looking to stall. Monet is looking to stall here but Panterson recovers full guard. Monet has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Monet tries to free his leg and advance position but Panterson is retaining full guard. Monet seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Panterson keeping moving, preventing Monet from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Panterson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Monet defends it easily. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Panterson can do anything to dispel that myth. Monet works a leg free and moves into half guard. Monet is trying to control the action in half guard but Panterson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Still in half guard, Monet seems content to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Panterson is staying active underneath Monet, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. We've been told by Monet's head coaches at Hugs & Kisses that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. A head kick misses from Monet. Panterson throws a right and a left that Monet avoids nicely. Panterson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Monet counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Panterson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Monet tries to avoid it but Panterson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Monet to the ground. Monet escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Monet lands a nice shot to the body.
Monet is looking to wear down Panterson with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Nice body punch from Monet. Boros Monet is winning the standup battle so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Monet bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Panterson's head backwards. Panterson takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Monet scores with a hook. Sloppy strikes from Monet. Those never looked like landing. Monet punishes Panterson's body with a nice straight punch. This has been an exciting period of action! Monet swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Monet ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Monet lands a nice looking kick to the body. Panterson takes a step back to recover. Monet changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Panterson is breathing heavily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Panterson checks a leg kick. Monet moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Panterson is rocked! Ohhhhhhhhhh, brutal head kick from Monet! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Boros Monet! After the fight, Boros Monet was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly. Bread Panterson was interviewed post fight and said 'Sometimes, we win, and sometimes we lost, but in the end we, all both persevere in life!so in this defeat, i will not hinder, and i'll be back much stronger than before'.
