Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Tory Moss! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Alex Cross! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Glass and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Cross avoids the body shot from Moss.
Moss throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Moss pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Moss thuds a left hand into Cross's body. Moss throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Tory Moss seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Moss throws a head kick that half lands.
Moss throws a hook but Cross blocks it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cross moves out of range of the body kick. Tory Moss is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Moss looking to land some kicks to the body here.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Moss. Moss scores with the left hand. Cross knows he should have avoided that one. Moss throws a leg kick but Cross sees it coming and moves out of range. Cross drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Moss defends it well. Moss throws a leg kick but Cross checks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Moss fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Cross avoids a kick to the body.
A low kick from Moss is predictable there and Cross counters with a takedown into side control. Cross wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Moss, who protects the arm well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cross is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Moss knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Moss knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cross on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cross thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Cross wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Moss, who protects the arm well. Cross has an Americana. Moss didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Cross is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Cross hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Alex Cross!
