PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jonas Putin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dominik Kokoszka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Putin comes to the cage accompanied by "Ace of Spades" by Motorhead. Dominik Kokoszka told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Putin tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kokoszka manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Kokoszka replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Putin blocks it well.
Kokoszka has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Putin pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kokoszka avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kokoszka thumps Putin with a low kick.
Kokoszka throws an overhand right that lands on Putin's shoulder, as Putin tries to avoid the shot.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Putin, as that shot connected.
Putin definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Kokoszka lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Putin with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kokoszka to score with a decent uppercut.

Kokoszka drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Putin right on the button. Putin goes down! Kokoszka follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Kokoszka gets the win via TKO!

A relieved looking Dominik Kokoszka thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
