Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matthew Godbolt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lethal Larry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Godbolt kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Trenches by Pop Evil. Larry comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Promise Man kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lethal Larry!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Larry throws a body punch but Godbolt moves out of range.
Godbolt appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Larry has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Larry uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Godbolt.
Larry with the counter takedown but Godbolt avoids it easily.
Lethal Larry seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Godbolt fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Larry to the ground. Godbolt is now in Larry's guard.
Godbolt throws a big elbow that misses.
We've been hearing that Godbolt has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Larry looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Larry is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Godbolt looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Godbolt is nestled in close to Larry, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Godbolt in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Larry tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Godbolt!
