Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Garrett Trujillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee Wallace has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Garrett Trujillo's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Garrett Trujillo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lee Wallace! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, John Roberts and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Trujillo gets caught napping as Wallace dives in and scores a takedown. Trujillo manages to retain guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wallace connects with a couple of short punches. Wallace trying to control but Trujillo is working from the bottom. Wallace sitting in guard, not really doing much. Trujillo is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Wallace is aware though and is defending well. Wallace throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Trujillo works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Trujillo is trying to hold Wallace in close to prevent damage but Wallace has managed to pass into half guard.
Trujillo controlling the position well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wallace is pressing down on Trujillo's thigh, looking to free his foot. Trujillo is holding on for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Trujillo is trying to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wallace stalling. Trujillo trying to control but Wallace postures up.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Wallace in particular looking to stall. Wallace takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Wallace controlling the action here. Wallace tries to pass to full mount but Trujillo defends it. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Wallace working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well. Wallace scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Wallace controlling the action here. Wallace takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Wallace slows the pace down in half guard. Trujillo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Wallace is working away from the top position though. Wallace trying to control the pace. Wallace throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Trujillo to regain full guard. Wallace has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Wallace postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Trujillo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Wallace stays in close to Trujillo's body and controls the position. Trujillo is pulling down on Wallace's head. It's preventing any offense from Wallace, at least for the moment. Wallace postures up and lands a big shot to Trujillo's brow. Trujillo looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Wallace puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Wallace is taking a breather. Trujillo says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Wallace wants to pass the guard but Trujillo is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Trujillo is staying active underneath Wallace, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Wallace tries to stand but can't do so whilst Trujillo controls his leg. Wallace seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Wallace lands with a punch from half guard. Wallace throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Wallace wants to stand up but Trujillo has a hold of him and won't allow it. Wallace is controlling the pace.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Trujillo wants to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lee Wallace dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Wallace pushes Trujillo up against the cage in a clinch. Wallace pulls guard effortlessly. Trujillo trying to control the position from guard on top but Wallace is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Trujillo wants to stand but Wallace is controlling his posture from full guard. Trujillo preventing the sweep. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Trujillo is looking to stand up but Wallace won't let him. Trujillo has gone for a leg lock! Wallace slips out almost immediately though and dives into Trujillo's guard. Wallace is stalling in the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trujillo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wallace is one step ahead there. Wallace is pushing down on Trujillo's leg trying to pass to half guard. Trujillo is fighting to maintain full guard but Wallace has managed to sneak the leg through. Wallace is looking for a kimura here.
Wallace sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Trujillo defending well though. Trujillo is trying to get back to full guard. Wallace is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Wallace wants to work for an arm triangle but Trujillo is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Wallace is controlling the pace.
Let's hope that Wallace has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Wallace looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Trujillo could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Trujillo wants to get back to full guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Trujillo is defending against the submission attempts here by Wallace.
Trujillo is looking for a sweep. Wallace is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Trujillo trying to control here.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Wallace closes the distance and clinches. Trujillo tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Wallace smiles and moves away.
Garrett Trujillo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Wallace closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Trujillo quickly recovers to half guard. Trujillo pushes Wallace off but Wallace dives into side control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Wallace stands up. Wallace has managed to clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Trujillo tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Wallace wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Check out the look on Wallace's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Trujillo is pushing Wallace's head away, looking to escape. Wallace manages to hold on to the position though. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wallace works to advance to full mount. Trujillo defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Wallace controlling the position easily from mount. Wallace lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Wallace controlling from mount. BOOM! Wallace connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Trujillo is rocked! Wallace controlling from mount. Oh Trujillo is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Trujillo takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Wallace's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
