Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alexis Douglas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Carrasco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carrasco has chosen Hemhenti as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Pedro Carrasco has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Alexis Douglas's chin.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Vladimir Khabensky and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carrasco drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Carrasco with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Carrasco is looking to work some ground and pound but Douglas has wrist control.
Carrasco throws an elbow that misses. Douglas uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Carrasco's guard. Nice move by Douglas!


Douglas got a little sloppy there for a moment and Carrasco has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Douglas has managed to get both his arms back between Carrasco's legs - danger averted.

Carrasco has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Douglas is on him like a limpet, forcing Carrasco back against the cage.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Alexis Douglas.
Well Douglas has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
