Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jokubas Nu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Smith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jokubas Nu! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nu fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Smith looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Smith changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nu tries to avoid it but Smith manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nu to the ground. Nu escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Smith throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Smith misses with a jab, cross combination.
No joy there for Nu, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nu changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smith tries to avoid it but Nu manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smith to the ground. Smith escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Smith went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Nu scores with a takedown into Smith's guard. Smith is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Nu presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Smith gets control of Nu's arms and successfully pulls guard. Smith will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Smith trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Nu is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Smith is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Smith has escaped and now he's on top!
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Nu works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Smith looking to pass the guard. Smith sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Nu's guard. Still in half guard, Smith seems content to control. Smith thows a huge punch but Nu dodges it nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Nu is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Smith is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Nu has hold of Smith's hands but Smith slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Smith controlling the action here. Nu is trying to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nu wants to control but Smith is keeping busy and won't allow it. Smith not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Nu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smith. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Smith is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Smith shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Nu but Nu pushes him off and we're back to square one. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Smith tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Nu defends well and Smith ends up having to push Nu into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nu is looking to clinch. Nu shoots in looking for a takedown. Smith tries to sprawl out of it but Nu keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Smith manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Smith defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Nu. Nu fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Nice sprawl there from Smith as Nu shoots in. Smith fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Smith throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nu's waist but Nu gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Smith off to one side. Smith is breathing heavily. Nu misses with a few strikes there.

Nu drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Smith defends it well. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nu shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Smith fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Nu avoids it really well and circles away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Smith dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Nu tries for a takedown but Smith sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Smith is looking to counter the offense by Nu and move into the clinch. Smith has his takedown stuffed and Nu counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Smith tries for a takedown but Nu sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Nu throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Nu shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Smith's guard. Nu looking to pass the guard. Smith uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Smith rushes Nu and presses him up against the cage. Smith can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith is working for takedown but Nu is calmly controlling the position for now. Nu drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Smith manages to break the clinch.
Smith shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Nu as he jumps to the side. No luck for Smith with that takedown attempt. Nu fails with an attempt to clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Smith throws a left and a right that both miss
and Nu counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Nu shoots in for a takedown but Smith shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. John Smith is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Smith circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nu doesn't succeed with the takedown and Smith counters by clinching up. Nu manages to break the clinch.

and Smith counters by clinching up. Nu jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Smith walks away with a smile on his face. Nu gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Nu tries to clinch up but Smith circles away and keeps his distance. Nu lands a nice hook to Smith's body. Smith takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Nu has his takedown stuffed and Smith moves into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Smith can't get the takedown.
Smith is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Nu can do to turn this around? Smith can't get the takedown.
Nu drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Smith gets control of Nu's arms and successfully pulls guard. Smith will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Nu stands and throws Smith's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nu wants to stand but Smith has his arm trapped. You can see the frustration on Smith's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Smith is trying to get back to half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nu working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that John Smith will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Smith shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Nu as he jumps to the side. Nu tries to close the distance and clinch but Smith swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Nu looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. John Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jokubas Nu. Nu takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith has taken the fight to the clinch.
Come on Smith - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Smith with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Smith fails to pull guard.

Nu is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Smith pulls him back up using the underhooks. Smith pulls guard effortlessly. Nu looking to pass the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smith tries to land a sweep but no joy. Smith is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Nu defends well. Nu avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Nu trying to control but Smith is working from the bottom. Nu stopping the sweep attempt from Smith. Nu is looking to stand up but Smith won't let him.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Smith fails in his attempt to clinch. Nu shoots in looking for a takedown but Smith manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nu's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Nu shoots for a double leg takedown but Smith sprawls well. He's pushed Nu's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Smith misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Smith tries to clinch but Nu moves out of range. Nu moves in looking to clinch but Smith pushes him off. Smith tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Nu manages to circle out of the way. The fight stays on the outside here - Nu looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Nu shoots in for a takedown but Smith shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. It looked like Smith was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Smith tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nu sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Smith somewhat. Nu is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
And that's the end of the fight! John Smith showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Smith, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
