Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jose Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dyson Too (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Perez comes to the cage accompanied by Light It Up. Too has chosen Fivefold – Just Close Your Eyes as his entrance music. Dyson Too will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jose Perez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dyson Too!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Alyssa Summers and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Too misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Perez avoids the head kick by Too.
Perez stuffs the takedown.

Perez drives through with a takedown into Too's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Perez is working Too over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Perez lands a couple of elbows.
Perez controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Perez is pushing down on Too's leg trying to pass to half guard. Too is fighting to maintain full guard but Perez has managed to sneak the leg through.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Too ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
And Too tries to counter it with a takedown but Perez pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Perez closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Perez lands in his opponent's guard.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Perez blocks the strikes from Too.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Perez takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Too really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Perez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Too flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Too seems to have recovered his senses.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Too tries to lock up and control but Perez gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Perez postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Too looks a forlorn figure.

Too is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.
Too is bucking up trying to escape but Perez cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
