The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Janicki scores with a body shot.
Janicki fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Freed takes one to the chin there.
Janicki leaves Freed with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Janicki rushes Freed and presses him up against the cage.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Janicki.
Freed takes a shot to the head.
Janicki lands a damaging elbow.
Janicki throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Freed takes an elbow to the temple.
Freed is rocked!
It looks like Dave Freed has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Freed is pressed against the cage. Janicki pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Freed! Two more big strikes from Janicki and Freed crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!
