Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marlin Paschal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenji Yakubitskaya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the ring it seems that Marlin Paschal has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Marlin Paschal seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Marlin Paschal! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenji Yakubitskaya! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Taro Takaoka and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Paschal tries for a takedown but Yakubitskaya circles away easily and Yakubitskaya counters with a slapping leg kick. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Paschal is defended easily by Yakubitskaya. Paschal pushes Yakubitskaya up against the ropes in a clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Yakubitskaya tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Paschal's elbow. Paschal is trying to pull guard but Yakubitskaya turns him against the ropes and we stay in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marlin Paschal. That's going to take a lot out of him. Paschal with a knee to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yakubitskaya gets control of Paschal's arms and successfully pulls guard. Yakubitskaya will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Paschal postures up and lands a big shot to Yakubitskaya's brow. Yakubitskaya being controlled here, momentarily. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Paschal advances position into side control! Paschal controls the position. Paschal tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Paschal has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Paschal advances to full mount. Paschal working for a submission but Yakubitskaya is keeping him at bay.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Paschal looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Paschal throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Yakubitskaya has his hands clasped together but Paschal breaks the hold and Yakubitskaya is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Paschal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Marlin Paschal! Marlin Paschal is the new lightweight champion! After winning the bout, Marlin Paschal thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
