The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Matthews.
It looks like Patrick Crane has been cut.
Matthews shoots for a takedown but Crane saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Crane appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Crane with a poor takedown
and Matthews counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Crane stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Crane wants it to stay on the feet.
Matthews misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Patrick Crane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Matthews.
Matthews shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Matthews lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
