Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marco Van Der Berg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Woodward Glass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marco Van Der Berg! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Woodward Glass! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Van Der Berg misses with an uppercut. Glass saw that one coming. Glass fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Van Der Berg, pushing him back against the cage. We've been hearing reports that Van Der Berg has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Glass blocks an uppercut.

Van Der Berg pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Glass blocks an elbow strike from Van Der Berg.
Glass throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Van Der Bergs head. Van Der Berg is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Glass to keep the fight standing. Glass landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Van Der Berg jumps guard but Glass stands there with Van Der Berg around his waist. Van Der Berg gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Glass lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Van Der Berg. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Glass effectively controlling the action here. Glass lands a good knee to the midsection. Van Der Berg won't want to take too many of those. Van Der Berg is breathing heavily. Glass breaks from the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Glass tries to bum rush Van Der Berg with a series of wild strikes but Van Der Berg uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Glass throws a shot to the body.

Van Der Berg takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Woodward Glass seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Van Der Berg takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Glass gets a clinch. Glass effectively controlling the action here. Glass has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Van Der Berg seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Glass can turn it around. Glass working some nice short punches in the clinch. Glass escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Woodward Glass is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Glass moves into the clinch successfully.
Van Der Berg is pushing Glass up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Glass works on Van Der Berg's body with a couple of short punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Van Der Berg is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Glass is defending well for now. Glass lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Glass throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Glass will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Van Der Berg up against the cage. Glass avoids the elbow strike from Van Der Berg, against the cage.
Van Der Berg takes a knee right on the jaw!
The referee calls for Glass to work.
Glass pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Glass moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Van Der Berg thows a leg kick but Glass checks it and Glass counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Glass. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Glass breaks the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Glass closes the distance and clinches. Glass avoids a wild elbow strike from Van Der Berg. Glass digs a right hand into Van Der Berg's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Van Der Berg's gas tank. Glass dodges an elbow strike from Van Der Berg.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marco Van Der Berg. That's going to take a lot out of him. Van Der Berg tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Glass takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Van Der Berg looking to throw knees to the head but Glass is blocking nicely.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Glass breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A right-left combo lands from Glass. Van Der Berg takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Glass lands a hook that stumbles Van Der Berg back into the cage. Glass follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Van Der Berg to the canvas! Glass pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Van Der Berg has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Woodward Glass! A relieved looking Woodward Glass thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
