The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hewitt tries to clinch up.
Gratje tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Hewitt misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gratje drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Hewitt defends it well.
Hewitt throws a lazy head kick
and Gratje counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Hewitt!
Gratje looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Gratje has hold of Hewitt's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Hewitt tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Gratje cranks the arm and Hewitt screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Hewitt, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
