The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee misses with a jab, cross combination.
Nice defenses there by Funkhouser.
Lee throws a nice looking combination but Funkhouser bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Funkhouser ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Funkhouser connects with a right hand. Lee shakes it off.
It looks like Boo Lee has been cut.
Funkhouser looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Funkhouser scores with a sloppy right hand. Lee should have avoided that one.
Boo Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lee forces Funkhouser back against the cage and clinches.

Lee throws a head punch that misses.
Lee pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Lee uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Funkhouser.
Lee throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
And Funkhouser tries to counter it with a takedown but Lee pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Lee scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Lee takes a swing at Funkhouser's ribcage but misses.
We've been told by Lee's head coaches at Martial Arts Dojo that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Lee moves away from the strike by Funkhouser.
Funkhouser closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Lee's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lee is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Funkhouser is pressing down on Lee's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Funkhouser has control of Lee's left arm, preventing Lee from doing any damage.
Funkhouser is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Lee frees his head nicely. Oh but Funkhouser has switched to an armbar! Lee is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
