Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Robert Peck! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peck fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Holman sprawls well initially but Peck persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Holman wants to control but Peck is keeping busy and won't allow it. Holman really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill... Peck is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Holman won't allow Peck to pass to mount. Peck lands strikes from half guard. Holman trying to hold on to Peck's head to control him but Peck postures up.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Peck is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Holman manages to get to full guard. Peck chips away with some ground and pound. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Peck's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
That's one minute gone in the round. Peck passes into half guard. Peck not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Peck stops Holman from getting back to his feet.
Peck throws a strike but Holman avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Peck in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Peck looks winded! Peck tries to free his leg and advance position but Holman is retaining full guard. Holman is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Holman has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Peck can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Peck landing some decent shots from guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Peck throws a big elbow that misses. Peck makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Peck throwing strikes from guard but Holman blocks nicely. Peck trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Holman really is a fat lump. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Peck won't allow Holman to sweep him here.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Peck closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Peck lands in his opponent's guard. Holman trying to control the position here.

Peck passes easily into side control. Nice work. Holman is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Peck has just dragged him back down to the mat. Peck working the body and head with strikes. Holman tries to get back to half guard but can't. Peck has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Peck is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Holman has escaped the position, nice work there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Peck lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Holman tries to improve position but can't. Holman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Peck tries to stand but Holman is controlling his head. Holman is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Peck working over Holman with some ground and pound. Holman looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Holman regains full guard. A momentary lapse in concentration from Holman enables Peck to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Holman manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Peck throws a strike but Holman rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Holman postures up in Peck's guard and throws a big left but Peck blocks it. Holman lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Holman throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Peck works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Holman in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Peck wants to sweep here but Holman controlling him for the moment. Holman wants to get up but he can't break Peck's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Holman postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Peck has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Peck looking to hit a scissor sweep but Holman is one step ahead there. Holman stands up over Peck, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Peck is breathing heavily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Holman goes for a double leg but Peck avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Peck continues to drive forward. Holman fails to land the takedown. Holman tries to score a power double leg takedown but Peck sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Holman somewhat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kory Holman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Peck dives in and scores a takedown into Holman's guard.

Holman is trying to pull guard but Peck turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Peck tightens his grip and picks Holman up, before dumping him to the ground. Holman manages to land in guard. Holman not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kory Holman will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Holman wants to stand but Peck is controlling his posture from full guard. Holman stands and steps away. Peck gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Holman moves in looking to clinch but Peck pushes him off.

Peck is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Holman is looking to work some ground and pound but Peck has wrist control. Holman loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Peck keeping moving, preventing Holman from controlling successfully. Holman wants to stand but Peck has a closed guard, so he can't escape. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Holman keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Peck's head. Holman working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Peck wants to stand and escape but Holman is having none of it.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Holman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Peck tries to avoid it but Holman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Peck to the ground. Peck escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Holman fails in his attempt to clinch. Holman fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Peck avoids it really well and circles away. Peck tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kory Holman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Holman rushes Peck and presses him up against the cage. Holman tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Peck smiles and moves away.
Peck shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Peck with the ground and pound but Holman uses the opportunity to regain guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kory Holman. I think Holman has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
