Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ezra Ray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edward Durden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Durden has chosen Monster as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Edward Durden has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 39 - 22 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ezra Ray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Edward Durden!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ray defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Durden.
Ray lands with an overhand left.
Ray throws a head kick that misses.
Durden ducks under a wild hook from Ray.
Ray digs a good body shot into Durden's ribs.
Durden will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Durden uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ray.
Durden fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ray avoids it really well and circles away.
Ray misses with an uppercut. Durden saw that one coming.
Ezra Ray seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ray uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Ray scores with a sloppy right hand. Durden should have avoided that one.

Ray throws a hook but Durden avoids it easily.
Ray is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
A head kick by Durden misses
and Ray counters with a nice body shot.
Ray misses with a looping right.
As Ray backs off Durden throws a huge counter combo but Ray manages to avoid it all.
Ray moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Ray uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Ray is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Durden.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Durden.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ray is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Durden is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Ray seems to have got his legs back now.
Durden wants to control the pace but Ray is squirming around nicely.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Edward Durden showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Ray's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Durden shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ray's guard.

Ray bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Durden's guard.

Durden escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ray gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Durden had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ray defends it easily.

And Durden tries to counter it with a takedown but Ray pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Durden throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ray's waist but Ray gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Durden off to one side.
A punch lands to the side of Durden 's head but he takes it in his stride.
