Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Terry Halen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robo Pope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pope is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Ghost - Monstrance Clock. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Terry Halen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 35 - 0, fighting out of New York, Robo Pope! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pope tries to clinch but Halen is having none of it. Pope looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Pope is looking to clinch but Halen is avoiding it.
As Pope tries to get set, Halen tries to push him back and clinch up but Pope manages to avoid the attempt. Pope tries to close the distance and clinch up but Halen swats him away and circles back towards the center. Halen circles away from the clinch attempt and Halen counters with a shoot takedown. Pope fights it but they end up in guard. Halen looking to pass the guard. Halen pushes down on Pope's leg and manages to get into half guard. Halen trying to mount his opponent but Pope defends it. Halen slows the pace down in half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Halen has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Halen wants to pass to mount but Pope is defending the position. Halen trying to control the pace. Halen is looking to advance position but Pope won't allow it. Halen controlling the action here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Halen tries for a takedown but Pope sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Pope leaves Halen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Halen goes for a double leg but Pope avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Pope continues to drive forward. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Terry Halen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pope displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Halen. Pope tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Halen manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Halen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Pope is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Pope can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Halen controls the pace. Halen works a leg free and moves into half guard. Halen wants to pass the guard but Pope is defending well. Halen sitting and controlling from the half guard. Halen is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Pope!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Halen controlling from the full mount. We've been hearing good reports from Halen's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Halen's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Terry Halen dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Pope stuffs the takedown attempt from Halen. Halen gets slowly back to his feet. Halen closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Pope's guard. Halen tries to free his leg and advance position but Pope is retaining full guard. Halen is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Halen looking to pass the guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Halen is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Terry Halen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Pope is breathing heavily.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Halen tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pope swivels and escapes. Pope is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Halen shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Pope napping and manages to drive through into side control! Halen slows the pace down.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Halen is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Pope can do to turn this around? Halen works to advance to full mount. Pope defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Halen content just to control the position here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Further stalling from Halen. If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Halen is stinking the place up with his stalling.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Terry Halen dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!
Halen is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Pope's half guard. Halen wants to pass the guard but Pope is defending well. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pope can do anything to dispel that myth. Still in half guard, Halen seems content to control. Halen tries to pass to full mount but Pope defends it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Halen is figuring out what he wants to do next. This is a sustained period of stalling by Halen. Pope takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Halen moves into full mount! Pope won't be happy about that! Halen takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Robo Pope has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Terry Halen is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
And that's the end of the fight! Terry Halen showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Halen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
