Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sub Way (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demetrious Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sub Way looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sub Way! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Demetrious Barnes! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Way dodges the punch combination from Barnes.
Nice sprawl there from Barnes as Way shoots in. Barnes looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Way gets in close and instigates a clinch. Barnes drops down looking for an ankle pick but Way pulls his leg out and moves away.
Barnes plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Barnes feints a jab promting Way to slip. Barnes then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Way slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Way fails with a takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Way dives in and grabs Barnes's left leg, looking for a takedown. Barnes pushes down on Way's head and hops out. Barnes lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sub Way. That's going to take a lot out of him. Barnes darts in and clinches Way up against the cage. Way is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Barnes gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Way is breathing heavily. A short right from Way. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Barnes jumps guard and drags Way to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Way definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barnes preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Barnes tries to strike from the bottom.
Way postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Way is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Barnes wriggles free and stands up. Barnes clinches up with Way and pushes him back against the cage. Barnes drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Way gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Barnes tries to pull guard but Way forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Way tightens his grip and picks Barnes up, before dumping him to the ground. Barnes manages to land in guard. Barnes throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Way postures up and lands a big shot to Barnes's brow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Way working some strikes from top position. Way scores with a decent looking elbow strike. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Barnes is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Way is aware though and is defending well. Way connects with a couple of short punches. Way with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Way distracts Barnes with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Barnes bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Way's guard. Way is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Barnes tries to free his leg and advance position but Way is retaining full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Way had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Barnes defends it easily. Barnes must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Way is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Barnes decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Way, up you get! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Way is defended easily by Barnes. Barnes misses with a double jab.
Way clinches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Barnes escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Way fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Barnes closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Way is defending well against a takedown attempt. Way is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Barnes can't fight it off and eventually Way manages to take the fight to the floor. Barnes looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Barnes manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Barnes can't break the clinch.
Barnes lands a nice uppercut. Barnes has picked Way up - he's going for a ride! Barnes dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Way has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Barnes is on him like a limpet, forcing Way back against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Demetrious Barnes dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Barnes wants to stand up but Way is controlling him. Way postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Way lands a couple of elbows. Way chips away with some ground and pound.

Way postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Barnes covers up, he's hurt! Way keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Way and the ref steps in to end the fight! Way can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
