Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
25 - 31 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Gotti! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tamiwe Kamanula! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A good leg kick by Kamanula. Kamanula throws a sloppy head kick and Gotti moves out of range easily. Kamanula swings away with a leg kick that misses. A head kick misses from Kamanula. Kamanula takes one on the button. Gotti shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kamanula as he jumps to the side. Gotti connects with a solid leg kick. Kamanula pulls out of a head kick attempt.

and Kamanula counters with a big head kick but Gotti shrugs it off. Kamanula connects with an inside leg kick. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Gotti takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Gotti cracks Kamanula with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Gotti blocks the body kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. That kick from Kamanula tenderised Gotti's leg. Gotti is trying to keep his angry face on. Gotti takes one to the chin there. Kamanula throws a head kick but Gotti moves out of range.
Kamanula moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Gotti throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Gotti throws a half hearted mid kick. A clash of legs there as Gotti blocks the low kick. Gotti takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Kamanula connects with an inside leg kick. Gotti throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Kamanula buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Kamanula throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. A nice leg kick lands there from Kamanula. This has been an exciting period of action! A chopping leg kick lands by Kamanula. Kamanula slips under a jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gotti throws a front kick aimed at Kamanula's knee but Kamanula avoids it well. Kamanula throws a fast counter high kick but Gotti manages to duck under it in time. Kamanula connects with an inside leg kick. Kamanula misses with the body kick and Gotti counters with a one-two to the body. We've been informed that Kamanula has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Kamanula throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Gotti's head. Gotti shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kamanula defends it nicely. Kamanula throws a low kick but it's checked well by Gotti. Kamanula with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
A head kick by Gotti misses and Kamanula counters with a flying knee that sends his opponent to the canvas! Kamanula looking to finish!
Gotti is rocked! Kamanula gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Gotti throws a left and a right that both miss
and Kamanula counters with a leg kick. Kamanula avoids the body shot from Gotti.
A slapping leg kick lands for Kamanula.
Gotti moves out of range of the body kick from Kamanula.
Gotti is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Gotti feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gotti wants to stand but Kamanula is controlling his posture from full guard. Gotti won't allow Kamanula to sweep him here. Gotti engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Kamanula is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kamanula can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Gotti controlling from the top position. Kamanula controlling the position. Kamanula wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Gotti manages to pass to side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kamanula has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Gotti is on him like a limpet, forcing Kamanula back against the cage. Knees to the body from Kamanula.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tamiwe Kamanula dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Kamanula throws a head kick that misses. Gotti shoots and misses and Kamanula counters with a low kick, right behind Gotti 's knee. Kamanula throws a head kick but Gotti moves out of range.

Gotti fails with a takedown attempt. A kick lands to the mid section there for Kamanula. Kamanula throws a sloppy head kick and Gotti moves out of range easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A nice inside leg kick there by Kamanula. That's going to slow Gotti down. Kamanula scores with a spinning back kick! Kamanula scores with a nice body kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Gotti on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Kamanula lands a head kick. Gotti smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
That's one minute gone in the round. A slow jab from Gotti misses its intended target. An inside leg kick lands from Kamanula. Kamanula lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Oh Gotti is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Kamanula scoring well with a low kick there.
Look low, kick high! Kamanula uses the oldest trick in the book to send Gotti tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Kamanula is absolutely delighted - when Gotti wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
