The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bowman could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Stevens thuds a left hand into Bowman's body.
Stevens looks for the body kick but Bowman saw that one coming.
Bowman misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Stevens darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stevens misses with a head shot. Bowman uses the momentum to regain guard.

Stevens drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bowman looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bowman looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bowman!
Bowman is looking to take a break and control but Stevens is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bowman scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Stevens to see if he's OK.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Stevens fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Stevens is landing with some decent strikes but Bowman is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Stevens postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Bowman in real trouble here! The ref calls for Bowman to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
