PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rob Mugabe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Crowley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crowley has chosen Savages by Theory of a Deadman as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mugabe tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Crowley has taken the fight to the clinch.

Crowley doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Mugabe is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Crowley has momentary wrist control but Mugabe slips an elbow through the middle.

Mugabe is working Crowley over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Mugabe lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Crowley down.

Crowley sneaks out the side door and pushes Mugabe away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Crowley looks winded!

Crowley gets caught napping as Mugabe dives in and scores a takedown. Crowley manages to retain guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mugabe lands a couple of elbows.
Mugabe is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Crowley seems to have recovered his senses.

Mugabe looks up at the clock and then as Crowley takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Mugabe smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Mugabe lands a strong strike to the head of Crowley. That's dazed him! Mugabe looking to finish here. Crowley is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Mugabe lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
