Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Elliott Potts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hagrid Beef (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beef has chosen Zombie as his entrance music. Hagrid Beef has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Elliott Potts's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Elliott Potts!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hagrid Beef!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beef takes a swing at Potts's ribcage but misses.
Potts bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Potts throws a series of punches but Beef moves out of range.

Beef shoots in and gets a takedown into Potts's guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Potts manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Beef working aggressively here.
The referee is keeping an eye on Potts - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Potts manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Beef tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Beef has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Potts is trying to keep an underhook but Beef manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Potts makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

It looked like Potts was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Beef closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Beef takes a little break here. Potts wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Beef thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Potts is not content to let Beef control the position.

Beef is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Potts is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Beef is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Potts has escaped the position, nice work there.
Potts is trying to control Beef's posture but Beef avoids it.

Potts is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Beef landing a few strikes.
Potts takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Beef misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Potts really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

and Potts counters with a three punch combo that has Beef backing up. Beef nods at Potts to acknowledge the strikes.

Beef drives through and clinches with Potts against the cage.

Beef jumps guard and drags Potts to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Beef utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Beef is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Beef has his foot on Potts's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Potts works his way back into a safe position though.

Beef escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Potts gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Beef looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Potts puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Potts wants to take a breather but Beef is having none of it.

Potts looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Beef looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Potts holds on and takes a little breather.

Potts will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Hagrid Beef showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!

A very excited looking Hagrid Beef rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
