Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Keith Jack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruin Kartella (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Keith Jack! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bruin Kartella! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kartella lands a nice hook to Jack's body. Jack takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Excellent takedown into side control there by Jack. Kartella is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Kartella is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Jack is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kartella has escaped the position, nice work there. Jack wants to control but Kartella is keeping him busy. Jack wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kartella, who protects the arm well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jack tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Jack tries for a kimura but Kartella is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jack throws an elbow but Kartella slips to the side and avoids it well. Jack working the head with strikes. Jack thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Jack works to advance to full mount. Kartella defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Kartella is looking to get to half guard. Kartella defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Jack. Kartella is trying to escape the mount.
Kartella is still trying to improve position. Jack is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Kartella is surviving well by controlling Jack's body position as best he can. Jack is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jack working for a submission but Kartella is keeping him at bay. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jack looking to secure an arm triangle but Kartella defends it well. Kartella can't escape the position.
Jack is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Kartella to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Kartella shrugs it off. Kartella wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Jack.
Kartella slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Kartella is looking for a sweep. Jack is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Jack looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jack trying to mount his opponent but Kartella defends it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kartella actively working from the bottom here. Jack is pressing down on Kartella's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kartella is holding on for now. Jack is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kartella doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jack. Jack is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kartella is just riding it out for now. Jack eventually gives up the hold. Kartella is trying to control but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kartella tries to get to full guard but Jack has control of the leg. Kartella moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Kartella is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Jack frees his head nicely. Oh but Kartella has switched to an armbar! Jack is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
