The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Mauricio Rocha and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whitley rushes Asaf and presses him up against the cage.
Asaf drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Whitley gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Whitley is fighting off a takedown attempt but Asaf is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Whitley to the mat. Whitley regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Whitley wants to sweep here but Asaf controlling him for the moment.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Asaf's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Asaf postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Whitley covers up, he's hurt! Asaf keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Asaf and the ref steps in to end the fight! Asaf can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
