The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Seu Braga and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Wise tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Caerwyn swivels and escapes.
Caerwyn drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Wise defends it well.
Wise forces Caerwyn back against the cage and clinches.

Wise tries to close the distance and clinch but Caerwyn swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Wise darts in looking for a takedown but Caerwyn gets double underhooks and turns Wise into the cage.
Wise misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Caerwyn is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Wise throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Caerwyn was covering up waiting for the punch and Wise finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Wise is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Caerwyn is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Caerwyn has escaped and now he's on top!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Wise controls Caerwyn momentarily but Caerwyn frees himself.
Wise has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Caerwyn can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Wise has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Luciano Caerwyn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
