Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rogan Redban (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thurston Underwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Underwood has chosen Party Hard- Andrew WK as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rogan Redban!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Thurston Underwood!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Taro Takaoka and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Redban forces Underwood back against the ropes and clinches.
Underwood jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Redban walks away with a smile on his face. Underwood gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Underwood shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Underwood takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Redban fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Underwood, pushing him back against the ropes.
Redban throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
A nice right hand lands inside from Redban.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Redban has clasped his hands together around Underwood's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Redban moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
An elbow from Redban crashes against the mat.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Redban is staying tight to Underwood's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Redban thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Underwood's head.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Underwood regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Redban.
Underwood can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Redban controls the pace.

Underwood is looking for a triangle but Redban pushes his legs off easily.
Redban wants to pass the guard but Underwood is keeping the position.
Underwood is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Redban is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Underwood shoots for a double leg takedown but Redban sprawls well. He's pushed Underwood's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Redban rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Underwood moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Underwood tries to circle away but Redban has him pinned against the ropes.

Underwood throws a front kick aimed at Redban's knee but Redban avoids it well.
Redban seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Redban manages to break the clinch.
Redban tries to close the distance and clinch but Underwood swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
It seemed like Underwood was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Redban clinches up with Underwood and pushes him back against the ropes.
Underwood wants to break free but Redban has control.

Redban pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Underwood keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Underwood tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Redban was well out of range. Poor timing from Underwood.
Rogan Redban is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Underwood throws a leg kick that misses.
Redban misses with the combination.
Underwood misses with a body shot.
Redban tries a head kick but it misses.
Underwood avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Redban is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Underwood can do to turn this around?
Underwood shoots in and drives through. Redban sprawls well.
