Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Szymon Piechnicki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aung San Suu Kyi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Piechnicki comes to the cage accompanied by Shantel - Disko Partizani. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Szymon Piechnicki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
25 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Aung San Suu Kyi! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Donatello Bradman and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Piechnicki doesn't manage to clinch there - Suu Kyi circles away.

It looks like Szymon Piechnicki has been cut. Piechnicki tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Suu Kyi manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Suu Kyi with the counter takedown but Piechnicki avoids it easily. The fight stays on the outside here - Piechnicki looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Suu Kyi circles away from the clinch attempt.
Piechnicki wants to clinch up but Suu Kyi keeps it at a distance. Piechnicki tries to clinch but Suu Kyi is having none of it. Piechnicki looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Suu Kyi lands with a kick to the ribs.
Good leg kick by Suu Kyi there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Szymon Piechnicki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Piechnicki wants to clinch. Piechnicki fails with an attempt to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Piechnicki tries to clinch up but Suu Kyi circles away and keeps his distance. Piechnicki moves in looking to clinch but Suu Kyi pushes him off. Suu Kyi wants to counter with a clinch but Piechnicki pushes him away. Piechnicki is looking to clinch but Suu Kyi is avoiding it.
Piechnicki fails with an attempt to clinch.
Suu Kyi keeps the fight on the outside. Piechnicki has closed the distance and engaged Suu Kyi in a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Piechnicki takes an elbow to the forehead. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Piechnicki creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Piechnicki misses with a short punch on the inside. Piechnicki tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Suu Kyi avoids it. Suu Kyi throws a knee to the head but misses.

Suu Kyi lands a nice knee to the body. Piechnicki is breathing heavily. Suu Kyi unloads a knee to the mid-section. Suu Kyi has Piechnicki pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Suu Kyi pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Piechnicki tumbling to the mat - Suu Kyi dives into Piechnicki's guard. Piechnicki wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Suu Kyi manages to pass to side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Suu Kyi is figuring out what he wants to do next. Suu Kyi thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Suu Kyi throwing shots but Piechnicki is blocking nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Suu Kyi thows a huge punch but Piechnicki dodges it nicely.
Suu Kyi content to control rather than advance. Piechnicki knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Suu Kyi on the ground. Suu Kyi thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Piechnicki's head. Suu Kyi performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Suu Kyi's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Suu Kyi not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Suu Kyi winds up and cracks Piechnicki with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Suu Kyi working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Suu Kyi missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Suu Kyi passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Piechnicki! Suu Kyi content just to control the position here. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Suu Kyi lands a big elbow. Suu Kyi tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Aung San Suu Kyi dominated that round. The cut man is working on Szymon Piechnicki's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Suu Kyi scores with a shot to the body.
Suu Kyi moves into range and connects with a jab. Suu Kyi jabs at Piechnicki's body. Piechnicki is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Suu Kyi avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Suu Kyi closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Piechnicki out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Aung San Suu Kyi! An out of breath Aung San Suu Kyi thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
