Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jason Lee Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sly Randolph (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott comes to the cage accompanied by Go, Go Power Rangers. Sly Randolph has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jason Lee Scott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 52 - 27 - 3, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sly Randolph!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Randolph throws out a loose jab but Scott uses good head movement to avoid it.

Randolph shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Randolph was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Randolph postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Randolph working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Scott manages to get back to half guard.
Scott tries to get to full guard but Randolph has control of the leg.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Randolph throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Randolph winds up and cracks Scott with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Randolph wants to control but Scott is keeping him busy.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Randolph is just content to waste time from the top position. Scott takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Scott pulls Randolph in close to prevent any damage.
Randolph trying to control the position from guard on top but Scott is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Randolph has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Randolph wants to pass the guard but Scott is keeping the position.

Randolph working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Scott is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Randolph's jab looks to have found its range, popping Scott under the eye.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Randolph shoots in looking for a takedown but Scott manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Randolph's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Scott lands an overhand right.
Scott misses with a two punch combination.

Scott lands a big head kick that sends Randolph tumbling to the mat! Scott takes a step backwards and waves Randolph back to his feet - he wants the finish!

and Scott counters with a low kick, right behind Randolph 's knee.

Randolph moves into the clinch.
Randolph gets through Scott's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Scott blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Scott lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Randolph backwards.

Randolph turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Randolph manages to end up in side control.
Scott bucks up and tries to throw Randolph off but instead Randolph has got his back!
Randolph throwing damaging strikes from the back! Scott could be in trouble here!


Scott is rocked!

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Randolph looking to break Scott's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Scott remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Randolph will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
I really don't envy Scott right now.
Randolph struggling to keep hold of the position.
Scott is trying to stand back up.

Randolph is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Scott has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Randolph is persistently looking for the submission but Scott is defending it well.
Randolph gets his hands free as Scott looks to control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Scott wants to get back to his feet.
Randolph cracks Scott with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Scott from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Randolph lands a good shot there. Scott covers up! Randolph smells blood and goes for the finish - the referee warns Scott to improve his position but he's not intelligently defending himself and the referee has no choice but to step in and end the fight! Randolph jumps to his feet and celebrates the important win with his cornermen!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sly Randolph!
