Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Deon Clark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bertil Eriksson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Deon Clark! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bertil Eriksson! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Arvi Lind and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Clark walks into a straight right hand from Eriksson. Eriksson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Clark engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Clark seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Eriksson for as long as he can get away with. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Eriksson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Clark controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Eriksson has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Clark has passed into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Eriksson is trying to control Clark's posture but Clark avoids it. Eriksson is trying to work for a sweep but Clark has mounted him! Eriksson is trying desperately to improve position. Clark raining down hammerfists from mount. Eriksson tries to hold on but Clark postures up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Clark scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Eriksson?

Clark tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Eriksson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Clark controlling the position easily from mount. Eriksson tries to hold on but Clark pushes him away. Eriksson slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Eriksson wants to get back to full guard. Clark sitting and controlling from the half guard. Eriksson is trying to stand.
Clark perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Eriksson is looking to control Clark's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Eriksson avoid being mounted? Eriksson looking for submissions from an awkward position here. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Clark controlling the action here.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. No luck with that takedown attempt from Eriksson. Eriksson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Clark avoids it really well and circles away. Eriksson looks winded! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Clark swinging wildly here.
Eriksson shoots in looking for a takedown but Clark manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Eriksson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Deon Clark dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Eriksson throws a leg kick and Clark counters with a left and a right that stings Eriksson. Deon Clark is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Eriksson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Clark manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Eriksson clinches. Eriksson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Clark pulls him back up using the underhooks. Clark ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Clark no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Eriksson stopping the sweep attempt from Clark. Clark working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Eriksson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Eriksson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Clark is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Eriksson defends well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Eriksson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Clark is adopting a defensive guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Clark looking to hit a scissor sweep but Eriksson is one step ahead there. Clark controlling Eriksson's posture. Clark is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Eriksson can do to turn this around?

Clark keeping full guard, as Eriksson tries to pass. Eriksson wants to control from the top but Clark keeps moving. Clark looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Eriksson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Clark pulls Eriksson in close to his closed guard and prevents Eriksson from doing any damage or advancing position. Clark is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Eriksson defends well. Eriksson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Eriksson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Clark works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Clark controlling Eriksson's posture. Deon Clark overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Eriksson trying to control the position from guard on top but Clark is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Clark is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Clark keeping moving, preventing Eriksson from controlling successfully. Eriksson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bertil Eriksson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. No luck with that takedown attempt from Eriksson. Clark went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Clark misses with a low kick. Eriksson unleashes a big counter combination but Clark bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Eriksson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Deon Clark has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bertil Eriksson. Eriksson throws a head kick but Clark moves out of range.
Eriksson is breathing heavily. Eriksson fails in his attempt to clinch. Clark throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Clark avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Clark shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Eriksson sprawls well. Eriksson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Clark gets slowly back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Deon Clark dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Eriksson misses with a wild body shot. The fight moves into the clinch position. Clark has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Eriksson uses from the top position. Eriksson is looking to work some ground and pound but Clark has wrist control. Clark wants to stand up but Eriksson is controlling him. Clark working for a triangle but Eriksson defends it easily.

Eriksson is pressing down on Clark's thigh, looking to free his foot. Clark is holding on for now. Eriksson is looking for a kimura but Clark is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Eriksson to get the leverage. Eriksson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Clark looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Clark wants to improve his position but Eriksson is controlling well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Clark is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Eriksson pulls his head out easily. Clark controlling the position for now. Eriksson tries to pass to full mount but Clark defends it. Clark is not content to let Eriksson control the position. Eriksson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Clark keeps control of the position for the meantime. Clark slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Clark is controlling Eriksson's posture. Eriksson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Clark managing to control the position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Eriksson moves in looking to clinch but Clark pushes him off. Clark went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Eriksson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Clark counters with a one-two to the body. Eriksson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Clark tries to avoid it but Eriksson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Clark to the ground. Clark escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Clark scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Clark gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Clark tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Eriksson smiles and moves away.

Eriksson tries for a takedown but Clark circles away easily and Clark counters with a two punch combo. Bertil Eriksson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Deon Clark is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Eriksson throws a wild body kick that Clark sees coming a mile off. Clark is looking for a counter combo.
