A head kick by Washington misses
and Mahones connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Washington misses with a leg kick
and Mahones counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like Tyron Washington has been cut.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Washington tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Mahones's elbow.
Washington manages to break the clinch.
Washington takes the fight into the clinch.
Washington's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A head kick by Washington misses
and Mahones counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mahones cracks Washington with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Mahones bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Washington's head backwards.

Mahones seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

and Mahones counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Mahones moves in close and cracks Washington with a massive right hand! Washington, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Mahones!

Stones Mahones got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
