Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Edwin Kjaer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hammer Hands (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hands has chosen Triumph by:Wu Tang Clan as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Hammer Hands was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Edwin Kjaer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hammer Hands! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Colin Fray and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kjaer slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Hands has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kjaer prevents the takedown attempt.

Kjaer throws a punch but it's blocked by Hands. Hands has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kjaer is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Kjaer throws a punch but it's blocked by Hands. Kjaer has a couple of punches blocked by Hands.
Hands blocks a punch to the side of the head.
I was talking to Kjaer's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Hands goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kjaer prevents it.
Edwin Kjaer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hammer Hands. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hands fails to pull guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hands has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kjaer is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Kjaer keeps control of Hands as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Hands gets control of Kjaer's arms and successfully pulls guard. Hands will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Hands working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Kjaer has passed into half guard!

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Kjaer clinches with his opponent.
Kjaer misses with a hook to the ribs.
Kjaer can't find room to land a body shot as Hands controls the action.

Hands looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Kjaer doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Hands jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kjaer walks away with a smile on his face. Hands gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hands is defended easily by Kjaer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kjaer gets in close and instigates a clinch. Hands is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Kjaer is defending well. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kjaer tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Hands avoids it. Kjaer with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Hands blocks a body shot from Kjaer. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hands closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Hands tries to break the clinch but Kjaer is controlling the position. Kjaer is working Hands over against the cage. Kjaer digs a right hand into Hands's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Hands's gas tank. Kjaer scores with a knee to the head.
It looks like Hammer Hands has been cut. Kjaer lands on the inside with an uppercut. Kjaer landing knees to the head.
Hands is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Kjaer is leaning against Hands and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kjaer lands a knee to the head.
Hands is rocked! Kjaer lands a big right hand that drops Hands! The killer instinct kicks in and Kjaer finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Kjaer!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Edwin Kjaer! In defeat, Hammer Hands stepped up to the mic, saying 'The better fighter won tonight. I give respect!!! I'm looking for a rematch!'.
