The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maneno getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Maneno throws a body punch but Kartella moves out of range.
Kartella takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Maneno ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kartella moves away.
A nice combination there by Kartella.
Kartella forces Maneno back against the cage and clinches.
Kartella decides to pull guard.
Maneno gets to his feet - Kartella follows without any prompting.
A big left from Kartella misses.
Kartella gets cracked there but stands up to it.
It looks like Drake Kartella has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A head kick by Kartella misses
and Maneno counters with a stiff right hand.
Maneno works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Kartella is rocked!
Kartella lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Maneno circles away quickly and effectively.
Oh Kartella is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A low kick from Kartella is predictable there
and Maneno cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Maneno scores with a body shot.
Kartella tries to clinch
and Maneno makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Maneno lands a body shot.
Kartella is breathing heavily.
Maneno ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kartella moves away.
Maneno scores with a body shot.
Kartella gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Maneno gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Kartella is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chiku Maneno!

Drake Kartella spoke after the fight, saying 'He was a tough opponent. I'm getting pretty old. Might be time to settle down'.
