Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Mcguire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lysantrov Shirove (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lysantrov Shirove has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aaron Mcguire! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lysantrov Shirove! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shirove shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mcguire as he jumps to the side. Mcguire changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Shirove moves into the clinch. Mcguire fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Mcguire is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Shirove is defending well. A frustrated look appears on Shirove's face as he tries to break the clinch. Mcguire tries to land a knee to the head but Shirove blocks with his arms.
Mcguire on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mcguire is trying to pull guard but Shirove has him pressed against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aaron Mcguire. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mcguire working hard to break the clinch. Shirove breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mcguire stuffs the takedown. Mcguire attempts a counter takedown but Shirove avoids it well and moves away. Shirove darts in and clinches Mcguire up against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mcguire tries to break the clinch but Shirove is controlling the position. Shirove gets underhooks to prevent Mcguire's takedown attempt.

Shirove is looking to break free of the clinch but Mcguire has double underhooks. Mcguire wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Shirove tries to break the clinch but Mcguire is controlling the position. Mcguire tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Shirove smiles and moves away.
Shirove throws a head kick but Mcguire moves out of range.
Some bone on bone action there as Mcguire checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Mcguire tries to close the distance and clinch up but Shirove swats him away and circles back towards the center. Shirove throws a head kick that misses. Shirove tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Lysantrov Shirove seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Shirove lands a glancing blow to the side of Mcguire's head. No joy there for Shirove, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Shirove fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mcguire, pushing him back against the cage. Mcguire ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Mcguire no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Shirove with a flurry of punches that miss. Mcguire is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Mcguire has his foot on Shirove's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Shirove works his way back into a safe position though. Shirove won't allow Mcguire to get back to his feet. Shirove not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shirove content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Shirove really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mcguire. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Mcguire is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Shirove is controlling him. Shirove controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Mcguire tries to clinch but Shirove moves out of range. Shirove throws a body kick that misses. A little feinted left hand from Mcguire on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Mcguire displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Shirove. Shirove feints and as Mcguire raises his hands in defense, Shirove changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Shirove looking to pass the guard. Shirove throwing strikes from guard but Mcguire blocks nicely. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Shirove stands and steps away. Mcguire gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lysantrov Shirove dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Shirove is defended easily by Mcguire. Shirove feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Mcguire has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Shirove is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Mcguire wants to take the fight to the mat but Shirove manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Mcguire prevents a takedown attempt there.

That's one minute gone in the round. Shirove keeps control of Mcguire as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Shirove prevents Mcguire from breaking the clinch. Shirove decides to pull guard. Shirove has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Mcguire won't allow Shirove to sweep him here. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Shirove can do anything to dispel that myth. Shirove is controlling Mcguire's posture. Shirove is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Shirove pulls Mcguire in close to prevent any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Shirove looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mcguire is one step ahead there. Shirove wants to get back to his feet but Mcguire is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shirove has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Mcguire has passed into side control.
Mcguire working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shirove struggling a bit here. Mcguire is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Shirove is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Shirove bucks up and tries to throw Mcguire off but instead Mcguire has got his back! Shirove trying to control the hands but Mcguire won't let him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Shirove tries to roll but Mcguire sticks to his back.

Shirove keeps control of Mcguire as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Shirove keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Mcguire's efforts to push away. Shirove jumps guard.
Shirove is looking to stand up but Mcguire isn't so interested in that idea. Shirove is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Shirove wants to hit a switch here but Mcguire passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Shirove there! Shirove is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Shirove tries to hold on but Mcguire pushes him away. Mcguire stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Shirove will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Shirove dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shirove gets a clinch. Shirove misses with a knee to the head. Mcguire tries to score a body lock takedown but Shirove shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Mcguire tries to pull guard but Shirove won't allow it.
Shirove avoiding damage.
Shirove decides to pull guard. Mcguire working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Shirove striking off his back, scoring a few points. Mcguire gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shirove shoots in and drives through. Mcguire sprawls well. Aaron Mcguire has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lysantrov Shirove. Shirove pushes Mcguire up against the cage in a clinch. Shirove has Mcguire pressed against the cage, preventing Mcguire from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Mcguire drops down looking for an ankle pick but Shirove pulls his leg out and moves away.
Nice takedown defense from Mcguire. No joy for Shirove on that attempt. Shirove fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mcguire sprawls well initially but Shirove persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Shirove trying to pass the guard but Mcguire defending well. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! The referee calls for the fighters to work.
And that's the end of the fight! Lysantrov Shirove comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Shirove has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
