And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Bruno Lombardi and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blomsten uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Jergensen has time to react.
Jergensen cracks a nice hook into Blomsten's ribs.
A decent looking cross lands there for Blomsten.
Jergensen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Jergensen tries to clinch up.
Blomsten lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Jergensen clinches up with Blomsten and pushes him back against the cage.
A nice right hand lands inside from Jergensen.
Still in the clinch, Jergensen scores with a nice short uppercut.
Jergensen leaning against his opponent.
Blomsten avoiding damage.
Blomsten swings wildly with an uppercut but Jergensen uses good head movement to avoid it.
Jergensen doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Jergensen gets underhooks to prevent Blomsten's takedown attempt.
Jergensen is fighting off a takedown attempt but Blomsten is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Jergensen to the mat. Jergensen regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Blomsten throwing strikes but missing.

Jergensen wants to reverse the position here. Blomsten has hold of a leg though and he's dropped back looking for a kneebar! The fighters roll across the mat but Jergensen is forced to tap! Jergensen looks devastated but at least his leg points in the right direction.
