Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Freddy Krueger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Novoselic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Novoselic is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here - Alice in Chains. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Novoselic lands an overhand right.

It looks like Freddy Krueger has been cut.
Krueger seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Novoselic scores with a nice strike.
Krueger throws the left hand but Novoselic avoids the punch easily.
Novoselic connects with a jab.

Krueger is rocked!
Krueger is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Novoselic.
Oh Krueger is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Krueger takes a swing at Novoselic's ribcage but misses.

Krueger throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Novoselic sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Krueger takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Novoselic thuds his right hand into Krueger's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Krueger missing with a left hand there. Novoselic was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

A punch lands to the side of Krueger 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Krueger on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Novoselic waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Krueger. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Krueger to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

Novoselic controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Novoselic's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Let's hope that Novoselic has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Krueger is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Novoselic cracks Krueger with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Krueger looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Novoselic finish him?
This has been an exciting period of action!
Krueger takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Novoselic seems to be stalking Krueger here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Krueger drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
