Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Juan Luna! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kingsley Nasir! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Fujiwara and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Luna takes a swing at Nasir's ribcage but misses. Luna takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Luna connects with a crisp jab. Luna misses with a straight right. Nasir shoots in for a takedown but Luna shows good takedown defense. Nasir thumps Luna with a low kick. Nasir lands with a right hand. Nasir scores with a nice strike. Nasir looks to land a combination. Luna sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Nasir throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Luna was covering up waiting for the punch and Nasir finishes the takedown easily into guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Luna has momentary wrist control but Nasir slips an elbow through the middle. Nasir scoring with some ground and pound. Nasir is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Nasir throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Luna really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nasir sitting in guard here, content to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Nasir's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Nasir preventing the sweep. Nasir with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Nasir chips away with some ground and pound. Nasir throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Luna works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Luna trying to keep a closed guard but Nasir is proving a slippery customer.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Nasir content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
It looks like Juan Luna has been cut. Luna knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nasir on the ground. Nasir keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Luna's head.
Luna is rocked! Nasir postures up and lands a big shot to Luna's brow. Oh Luna is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Nasir stands up over Luna, holding on to his feet. Nasir throws the legs to one side and dives in with a huge shot that lands flush on the chin! Luna is out cold! Nasir lands a couple more shots and the ref tackles him out of the way! What a brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Kingsley Nasir! During a confident post fight interview, Kingsley Nasir thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
