Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Merle Hyde (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manuel Barerra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Manuel Barerra will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Merle Hyde! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Manuel Barerra! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Taro Takaoka and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barerra closes the distance and pushes Hyde back into the cage. A short right from Barerra on the inside. Barerra is leaning against Hyde and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Barerra lands a hook to the side of the head. Barerra stalling.
Barerra swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Hyde's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Barerra tries a knee to the head but Hyde blocks it.
Barerra lands with a right to the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Barerra. Hyde takes a shot to the head. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Barerra creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Barerra landing knees to the head.
Hyde is rocked!
It looks like Merle Hyde has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barerra tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Barerra swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Barerra misses with a knee strike.
Hyde has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Barerra after a bit of a struggle. Hyde really is a fat lump. Hyde escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Barerra takes the fight into the clinch. Barerra has a couple of punches blocked by Hyde.
Barerra lands a left hand that snaps the head of Hyde backwards. Oh Hyde is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Hyde tries to break the clinch but Barerra is controlling the position. Hyde seems to have got his legs back now. Barerra tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Barerra gets through Hyde's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A short right from Barerra on the inside. Barerra lands a hook that snaps the head of Hyde backwards. Barerra looking to throw knees to the head but Hyde is blocking nicely.
Barerra lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Hyde blocking some punches.
Hyde looking for a takedown. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Come on Barerra - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Barerra gets through Hyde's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Barerra creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Hyde with a big uppercut! Hyde tries to clinch up but Barerra pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Hyde to the mat! Hyde covers up and Barerra unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Manuel Barerra!
