PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raine Lovelair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thomas Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Raine Lovelair!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee goes for a double leg but Lovelair avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Lovelair continues to drive forward.
Lovelair is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Lovelair swats away the attempt to clinch by Lee.
Lovelair tries a quick counter leg kick but Lee is wise to it.
Lovelair displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lee.

Lovelair closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Lee might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Lovelair wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lee keeps working.
Lee punching from the bottom.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Lovelair lands a nice short elbow.
Lee manages to get to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lovelair is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lovelair is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Lee has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Lovelair is looking to defend but Lee has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Lovelair! Lee pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Lovelair taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Thomas Lee!
