Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sam Curtin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Womack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Sam Curtin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ken Womack!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Colin Fotheringham and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Womack waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Curtin.
Womack works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Womack fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Curtin tries to move into range but Womack moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Womack throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Curtin counters with a solid body kick.
Womack cracks Curtin with a right hand to the side of the head.
Womack fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Curtin has his takedown stuffed
and Womack counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Womack lands with a good body shot.
Curtin tries for a takedown but Womack sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

A slapping leg kick lands for Womack.
Ken Womack seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Womack looks to land a body kick but Curtin moved away.
Womack goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Womack misses with a leg kick

and Curtin counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Womack!
Womack is trying to control Curtin's posture but Curtin avoids it.
Womack is looking to regain half guard here but Curtin keeps moving and retains side control.

Womack tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Curtin works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Curtin stands up and beckons Womack to his feet.
Womack displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Curtin.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sam Curtin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Womack scores with a body shot.
Womack goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Curtin fails with the takedown.
Curtin on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Womack thuds a left hand into Curtin's body.
Womack throws a leg kick that misses.

Curtin shoots in and gets a takedown into Womack's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Womack looking to hit a scissor sweep but Curtin is one step ahead there.

Curtin slips nicely into half guard.
Curtin is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Womack is looking to improve his position.
Curtin winds up and cracks Womack with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Womack is looking for a sweep. Curtin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Curtin is working for a kimura but Womack is defending it quite comfortably.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Womack is trying to control but Curtin manages to pass to mount!

Womack defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Curtin.
Curtin controlling the pace for now.
Womack is working to get back to half guard.
Curtin looking to control and managing it successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ken Womack will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Curtin closes the distance and clinches.
Curtin has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Womack after a bit of a struggle.
Womack struggles to land a body shot inside as Curtin controls his hands.

Curtin has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Womack uses from the top position.

Womack wants to stand and escape but instead Curtin has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Curtin seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Womack for as long as he can get away with.
Curtin's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Womack has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Flower Power Pillow Fighters Training Center. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Curtin's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Womack is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Curtin in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Womack tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Curtin!
