Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jamaal Charles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dasuki Gohei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Jamaal Charles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Dasuki Gohei!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Daniel Bishop and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Charles throws a leg kick but Gohei moved away.
Charles throws a series of punches but Gohei avoids them all with ease.
Gohei tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Gohei will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Gohei has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Charles throws a right and a left that Gohei avoids nicely.
Charles fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Gohei misses with a takedown attempt
and Charles counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Gohei fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Jamaal Charles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dasuki Gohei.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gohei displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Charles throws out the jab.
Charles looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Charles leaves Gohei with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Gohei gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Charles counters with a nice uppercut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gohei has his takedown stuffed
and Charles counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Gohei takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Charles shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Gohei eats them both and turns towards Charles to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Gohei dives in for a single leg takedown but Charles sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Jamaal Charles is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Charles lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Gohei backs up against the cage.
Charles moves away from the strike by Gohei.
Gohei just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromCharles.

Gohei decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Charles kicks Gohei off and gets back to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Charles throws a right and a left that both miss.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gohei.
Gohei looks winded!
Gohei shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Charles pinned against the cage. Charles gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Charles throws a big counter combination but Gohei scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Charles moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Gohei misses with a looping left.
A punch combination from Gohei misses.
Gohei fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Charles misses with a low kick.
Charles will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Charles lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Gohei throws a right and a left that Charles avoids nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Gohei.
Charles throws a big counter combination but Gohei scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Charles throws a low kick but Gohei moves out of range easily.
Gohei looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Charles is fending him off so far but Gohei persists. Nope, Charles circles away and we're back to standing.
Gohei takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Gohei fails to land the takedown.
Gohei has a takedown stuffed.
Charles appears to be looking for a big counter.
Gohei takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.


Gohei is rocked!
Charles lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Gohei out cold! Gohei is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jamaal Charles!
