Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Jamison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tuomari Hurmio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hurmio has chosen Black Star as his entrance music. Tuomari Hurmio told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
30 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, John Jamison! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tuomari Hurmio! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Atkins and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jamison connects with an inside leg kick. Jamison misses with a body kick. Jamison fails in his attempt to clinch. Hurmio misses with an uppercut. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Jamison. Hurmio shrugs it off though. Hurmio connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Jamison clinches up against the cage. A short right from Hurmio. Jamison lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Hurmio misses with a body punch.
Jamison tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Hurmio tries to work over Jamison's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Jamison misses with some punches.
Hurmio tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Jamison's elbow. Hurmio misses with the head strike.
Hurmio lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hurmio escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jamison misses with an uppercut. Jamison gets a double leg takedown into Hurmio's guard. Jamison seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hurmio looking to control.
Jamison not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Jamison wants to control from the top but Hurmio keeps moving. Jamison throwing strikes but missing. Hurmio keeping full guard, as Jamison tries to pass. Hurmio working for a triangle but Jamison defends it easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Hurmio keeping moving, preventing Jamison from controlling successfully. Jamison looking to pass the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hurmio looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Jamison controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Jamison trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Hurmio has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Jamison doesn't defend quickly enough and Hurmio has managed to lock this one up! Can Jamison escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Hurmio on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Tuomari Hurmio! Tuomari Hurmio decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
