Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Toshi Matoshin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raijin Kage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matoshin comes to the cage accompanied by Mortal Kombat theme. Kage has chosen Ride the Lightning as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
32 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Toshi Matoshin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 10 - 1, fighting out of London, Raijin Kage! The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Atkins and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kage lands with a nice body kick. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Kage, right into the meat.
A slapping leg kick lands for Kage.
Kage turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Kage dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Matoshin. That did some damage! Nice body punch from Kage. A clash of legs there as Kage blocks the low kick. Kage tried to score with a low kick but Matoshin checks it. Kage lands a leg kick that knocks Matoshin off balance momentarily. Kage shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kage is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Matoshin has managed to free his arm - good work. Matoshin trying to control but Kage postures up.
Kage missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Kage is working for a kimura but Matoshin is defending it quite comfortably.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kage thows a huge punch but Matoshin dodges it nicely.
Matoshin works his way to full guard. Good work. Kage controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Matoshin is adopting a defensive guard. Kage has gone for a leg lock! Matoshin slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kage's guard.
Kage has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Matoshin showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Kage working for a triangle but Matoshin defends it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Matoshin looking to pass the guard. Matoshin pushing down on Kage's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Kage wants to improve his position but Matoshin is controlling well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Matoshin not doing much here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kage is looking to control Matoshin's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kage avoid being mounted? Matoshin controlling the action here. Matoshin is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Kage! Matoshin tries to control but Kage wriggling away. Kage has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Kage is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Matoshin controlling the pace for now. Matoshin trying to control but Kage is having none of it. Kage slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Matoshin trying to mount his opponent but Kage defends it. Matoshin content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Kage is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Matoshin pulls his head out easily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kage is staying active underneath Matoshin, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Kage is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Matoshin sitting and controlling from the half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Raijin Kage dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
An inside leg kick from Kage misses. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Matoshin, right into the meat.

Kage tries to score with a low kick but Matoshin moves his leg out of the way. Matoshin throwing a counter right hand but Kage manages to avoid it. Matoshin scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Kage misses with a low kick. Matoshin tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Kage throws a body shot but no joy. Matoshin scores with a nice right hand.

and Matoshin counters with a stiff right hand. Kage feints and as Matoshin raises his hands in defense, Kage changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Matoshin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Kage trying to control but Matoshin is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kage working some strikes from top position. Matoshin is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Kage trying to control but Matoshin is working from the bottom. Matoshin pulls Kage in to control the position. Matoshin controls Kage momentarily but Kage frees himself. Matoshin has Kage pulled in close to control his posture. Matoshin looking to control.
Kage forces his way into half guard. Kage is looking for a kimura here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kage seems to be working for a kimura but Matoshin defends the submission attempt. Matoshin is trying to stand up here but Kage is controlling him well. Kage wants to control but Matoshin is keeping him busy. Kage is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Matoshin has managed to free his arm - good work. Matoshin trying to control from the bottom.
Kage takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Kage seems to be looking for submissions.

Raijin Kage has got the better of the ground game so far. Kage avoids the attempt from Matoshin to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kage working for a guillotine from mount but Matoshin is in no mood to give up. Kage pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.

Matoshin tries to lock up and control but Kage gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Kage lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Matoshin is rocked!
It looks like Toshi Matoshin has been cut. Kage has hold of Matoshin's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Matoshin manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Oh Matoshin is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Matoshin tries to hold on but Kage postures up. A big strike lands for Kage! That's really hurt Matoshin and he's turned his back - Kage keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Kage jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
