Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lyle Nicholson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karel Vomacka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lyle Nicholson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Karel Vomacka!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Saam Ante and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vomacka tries to clinch but Nicholson is having none of it.

Vomacka has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Nicholson uses from the top position.

Vomacka had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Nicholson defends it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nicholson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nicholson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nicholson works over Vomacka with some ground and pound from guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Nicholson gets a takedown into half guard.
Nicholson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Vomacka is looking for a sweep. Nicholson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Nicholson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Nicholson winds up and cracks Vomacka with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The fighters are battling for position here. Vomacka manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Vomacka kicks Nicholson off and gets to his feet.
Nicholson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Vomacka tries to avoid it but Nicholson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Vomacka to the ground. Vomacka escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Nicholson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Nicholson sets himself, and Vomacka steps forward looking for the clinch! Nicholson avoids it this time.

Nicholson has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Vomacka off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

That was a close round but I would say that Lyle Nicholson will probably get the nod.

Vomacka looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Nicholson has picked Vomacka up and slammed him! Vomacka can't keep hold of the triangle and Nicholson manages to pass to side control!

That was a close second round but I would say that Lyle Nicholson will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Lyle Nicholson.
Well Nicholson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
