Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Test Ninja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wrestlefuck Wrestling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ninja comes to the cage accompanied by Super Bon Bon - Soul Coughing. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

15 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Wrestlefuck Wrestling! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Felipe Paraventi and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wrestling lands a head shot. Ninja showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Wrestling.
The fighters circle momentarily. Wrestling darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Donk. Wrestling catches Ninja right on the button with a cross. Nice takedown defense from Wrestling. No joy for Ninja on that attempt. Wrestlefuck Wrestling seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wrestling lands a jab to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Decent striking displayed by Wrestling there. Wrestling keeps the fight on the outside. Wrestling lands a really nice looking cross but Ninja seems unphased.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Ninja bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ninja working away. Wrestling really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ninja. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wrestling can do anything to dispel that myth. Ninja working the ground and pound but Wrestling is defending the strikes. Ninja tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ninja has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Ninja has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Ninja trying to control the position but Wrestling is working away. Wrestling is trying to control Ninja's posture but Ninja avoids it. Wrestling parries the strikes from Ninja easily there. Ninja is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Wrestling to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wrestling is being controlled here. Ninja throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Ninja is looking to take a break and control but Wrestling is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ninja thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The referee asks Ninja politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Ninja prefers to stall for the moment though. Wrestling is not content to let Ninja control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. You can see the frustration on Wrestling's face as Ninja controls the position. Wrestling is looking for a sweep. Ninja trying to control the action but Wrestling is working from the bottom. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Wrestling lands with an uppercut that bounces Ninja off the cage and back into range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
