Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Owens misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Owens shoots in and bounces Kessler off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

We've been hearing that Owens has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kessler is pulling down on Owens's head to control his posture.

Kessler really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Owens. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Owens is fighting to break Kessler's control of his arms but Kessler is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Owens shoots in looking for a takedown but Kessler manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Owens's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kessler is pushing Owens up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Owens has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kessler avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Owens wants to stay close but Kessler steps back to make room for something. Owens seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Kessler and Owens drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!
