Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zed Lazer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladislav Yurevich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vladislav Yurevich!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lazer shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Yurevich as he avoids it easily.

Lazer gets tackled into the cage by Yurevich. Yurevich maintains the clinch.

Yurevich pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Yurevich darts in and clinches Lazer up against the cage.
Yurevich tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Lazer breaks from the clinch.
Lazer fails with the takedown.
Vladislav Yurevich seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lazer is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Yurevich displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lazer.
Yurevich tries to counter with a clinch but Lazer shakes him off and moves away.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Lazer misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Vladislav Yurevich is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Yurevich fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lazer, pushing him back against the cage.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Vladislav Yurevich.

Lazer jumps guard and drags Yurevich to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Yurevich won't allow Lazer to get back to his feet.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Lazer shoots in for a takedown but Yurevich shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Yurevich moves into the clinch successfully.
Lazer has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Lazer can't find room to land a body shot as Yurevich controls the action.
Yurevich can't break the clinch.

Lazer breaks from the clinch.
Lazer goes for a double leg but Yurevich avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Yurevich continues to drive forward.
Lazer tries to clinch up but Yurevich circles away and keeps his distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Yurevich looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Lazer jumps into guard, dragging Yurevich to the mat.
Lazer bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Yurevich's guard.

Lazer seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Lazer seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Yurevich for as long as he can get away with.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Yurevich can do anything to dispel that myth.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Yurevich has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Yurevich can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lazer controls the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Yurevich jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lazer walks away with a smile on his face. Yurevich gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Lazer closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Yurevich quickly recovers to half guard.

Yurevich really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lazer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Let's hope that Yurevich has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Lazer wants to work for an arm triangle but Yurevich is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Lazer prevents Yurevich from improving his position.
It looks like Lazer is going to stand back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lazer's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Yurevich is trying to control but can't.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Yurevich is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Lazer goes for a takedown in the clinch but Yurevich prevents it.

Yurevich's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Yurevich has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Lazer is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
Zed Lazer showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Yurevich has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
