The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paul Aken and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunther misses with a left hand
and Richards counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Gunther fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Richards sprawls well initially but Gunther persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Richards scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Gunther manages to mount him!

Gunther can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Richards is looking to escape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gunther manages to capitalize on a mistake by Richards to take his back!

Gunther misses with a punch to the head.
I really don't envy Richards right now.
Gunther tries to keep control of the position but Richards is staying busy.
Richards is trying to stand. He's onto all fours with Gunther on his back. Gunther looks like he's slipping off but he's actually tansitioning to a beautiful armbar! Richards has to tap out to a very impressive submission!
