Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Carrol Randolph! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Clean Hands! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Josh West and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A momentary lapse in concentration from Randolph enables Hands to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Randolph manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Randolph has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Hands is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Randolph has Hands pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hands manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Randolph is trying to pull guard but Hands turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Hands tightens his grip and picks Randolph up, before dumping him to the ground. Randolph manages to land in guard. Hands throws a strike but Randolph rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Randolph stands up and waves to Hands to follow him. Hands has managed to clinch.
Hands is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Hands misses with a knee strike.
Hands has clasped his hands together around Randolph's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Hands working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Randolph takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Hands working away. Hands in side control, throwing shots but Randolph defends. Hands is looking to take a break and control but Randolph is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Randolph seems a little lost for a moment, as Hands dominates the positioning. Randolph tries to bench press Hands off him but Hands keeps the position. Hands thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Randolph is looking for a sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Hands just content to control the position. Hands working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Hands tries to advance to mount but can't. Randolph seems a little lost for a moment, as Hands dominates the positioning.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hands tries to advance position but instead Randolph slips a leg back in to half guard. Hands stops Randolph from getting back to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Nice takedown defense from Hands. No joy for Randolph on that attempt. Hands feints the counter takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carrol Randolph. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hands scores with a takedown into Randolph's guard. Randolph is pulling down on Hands's head. It's preventing any offense from Hands, at least for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hands won't allow Randolph to sweep him here. Randolph can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hands controls the pace. Randolph wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Randolph is working an open guard so Hands takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hands shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Hands is thwarting Randolph's attempts to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hands forces Randolph back against the cage and clinches. Randolph blocks a body shot from Hands. Randolph wants to take the fight to the mat but Hands manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Randolph is looking to take this one to the mat. Hands pulls Randolph into guard.
Randolph wants to control from the top but Hands keeps moving. Hands has his hands on Randolph's head, controlling the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Randolph trying to control the position from guard on top but Hands is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Randolph wants to get up but he can't break Hands's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hands wants to stand but Randolph is controlling the position. Randolph trying to control but Hands is working from the bottom.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Hands darts in and clinches Randolph up against the cage. Randolph fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carrol Randolph. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hands prevents a body shot from Randolph. Hands tightens his grip and picks Randolph up, before dumping him to the ground. Randolph manages to land in guard. Hands decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Randolph shoots in for a double leg but Hands sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Hands dives in and scores a takedown into Randolph's guard. Hands prevents Randolph from getting back to his feet. Randolph working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hands. Hands stands up and waves to Randolph to follow him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hands scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Randolph explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Hands has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hands closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Randolph to the mat! Randolph manages to get full guard. Randolph keeping moving, preventing Hands from controlling successfully. Hands would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Randolph tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hands stands up from Randolph's guard - Hands perhaps looking for a knockout. Hands misses with a two punch combination.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hands has Randolph up against the cage in a clinch.

Hands in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Randolph is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hands not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Clean Hands showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Hands forces Randolph back against the cage and clinches. Hands has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Randolph clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Hands keeps control of the position easily here as Randolph tries to buck him off.

Randolph escapes and is now in half guard on top. Randolph takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Hands wants to get back to his feet. Hands is defending against the submission attempts here by Randolph.
Randolph tries to stand but can't do so whilst Hands controls his leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Randolph is trying to control the action in half guard but Hands is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Hands gets full guard. Randolph drops back, looking for a kneebar! Hands looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Hands looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Hands! Randolph is trying to control Hands's posture but Hands avoids it. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Randolph being controlled for a moment. Hands sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Randolph is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Randolph is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Hands working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Hands decides to stand back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Hands closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Hands stalling against the cage.

Randolph is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Hands keeping moving, preventing Randolph from controlling successfully. Randolph is looking to work some ground and pound but Hands has wrist control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hands looking to hit a scissor sweep but Randolph is one step ahead there. Hands keeping moving, preventing Randolph from controlling successfully.
And that's the end of the fight! Clean Hands comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Hands has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
