Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Meyer Lansky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 13 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, John Lewis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Meyer Lansky!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Radbod Blank and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lansky changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lewis looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Lewis seems a little lost for a moment, as Lansky dominates the positioning.
Lansky throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lansky is trying to ground and pound but Lewis uses the momentary lack of control by Lansky to regain half guard.
Lewis is trying to stand up here but Lansky is controlling him well.
Lewis trying to control but Lansky postures up.
Lewis works his way to full guard. Good work.
Lansky keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lewis's head.
Lansky content to stall in guard here.
Lansky looking to sit in guard and control but Lewis gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Lewis loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lewis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Lewis in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Lewis trying to control but Lansky is working from the bottom.
Lewis throws an elbow that misses. Lansky uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Lewis's guard. Nice move by Lansky!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lansky accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Lansky got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lewis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lansky has managed to get both his arms back between Lewis's legs - danger averted.
Lansky with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lansky accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Lansky is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Lansky throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lewis works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Lansky is looking to work some ground and pound but Lewis has wrist control.
Lewis wants to sweep here but Lansky controlling him for the moment.
Lewis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Lansky prevents Lewis from getting back to his feet.

Lewis is looking for a triangle but Lansky pushes his legs off easily.
Lansky throwing strikes from guard but Lewis blocks nicely.
Lewis utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Lansky postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Lansky decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Lewis, up you get!
Lewis checks the leg kick.
Lansky takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.


It looks like Meyer Lansky has been cut.
Lansky shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lewis defends it nicely.
Lansky throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Lewis instigates a clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Lansky manages to break the clinch.
Lansky slips a jab and a cross from Lewis.
Lansky on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Lewis scores with a nice right hand.
Lansky walks into a jab.
Lewis fails with the takedown.

Lansky moves into the clinch successfully.
Lansky blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Lewis goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Lewis stalls.
Lansky is working Lewis over against the cage.
Lewis lands with a short shot to the head.
Lansky lands a nice shot to the body.

Lansky escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lewis fails with the takedown.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lansky jabs Lewis right on the nose. Lewis blinks but takes it well.
Meyer Lansky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lansky clinches.
Lewis is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Lewis. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Lansky breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lansky works Lewis's body with a nice hook.
Lansky lands with a good body shot.
Lewis is breathing heavily.
Lansky lands a head shot.
Lansky ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Lansky lands with a thumping leg kick.
Lansky feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Lewis's calf.
Nice body kick from Lansky.
Lansky scoring well with a low kick there.
Lansky lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Lansky scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Lansky thuds his shin into the meat of Lewis's side.
Lansky throws a nice head kick!

Lansky forces Lewis back against the cage and clinches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Meyer Lansky dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Meyer Lansky's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Lansky lands a body shot.
Lansky is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Lewis rather than just go for the knockout.

Lansky has managed to clinch.
Lansky pushes Lewis back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Lansky has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Lansky breaks from the clinch.
Lansky lands a slapping body shot.
A slow jab from Lewis misses its intended target.
Lansky misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lansky scores with a nice body kick.
Lansky scores with a nice body kick.
Lansky lunges at Lewis with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lewis's hand.
Lewis throws a hook to the side of Lansky's head but Lansky sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Lewis fails with the takedown.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lansky circles away from the clinch attempt.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lansky fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Lewis looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
A head kick from Lansky lands but Lewis takes it in his stride.
Lansky looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Lansky misses the shot to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lewis misses with a looping left.
Nice cross by Lansky.
Lansky drops Lewis with a straight right hand, right on the button! Lansky follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Meyer Lansky!
Meyer Lansky gave a mention to VICIOUS FIGHT GEAR in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
