Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lamont Blevins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Duane Craig!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Craig lands a nice hook to Blevins's body. Blevins takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Blevins feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Blevins is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lamont Blevins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Duane Craig.

Craig sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Blevins's guard.
Craig seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Blevins makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Craig drives through and clinches with Blevins against the cage.

Craig escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Craig fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Blevins, pushing him back against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Blevins's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Blevins throws a big elbow that misses.
Blevins keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Craig's head.

Craig had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Blevins defends it easily.
Craig is breathing heavily.

Blevins stands up over Craig, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Craig looking to hit a scissor sweep but Blevins is one step ahead there.
Craig is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Blevins has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Blevins throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Craig works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

That was a close second round but I would say that Lamont Blevins will probably get the nod.

Craig closes the distance and clinches up with Blevins, looking for a takedown. Craig pushes Blevins against the cage but Blevins circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Blevins is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Craig is just riding it out for now. Blevins eventually gives up the hold.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Blevins connects with a nice short shot to Craig's temple.
Blevins looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Craig with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Blevins winds up and cracks Craig with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Craig is trying to control but can't.
Craig tries to roll over but Blevins keeps him under control.
Craig has hold of Blevins's hands but Blevins slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Blevins closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Craig jumps guard but Blevins turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Blevins breaks the clinch.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Blevins.
Blevins is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Craig can do to turn this around?

Craig is looking to land body kicks.

Blevins shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Craig napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Blevins decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Craig closes the distance and clinches up with Blevins, looking for a takedown. Craig pushes Blevins against the cage but Blevins circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Blevins decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Blevins is nestled in close to Craig, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Blevins stands up and beckons Craig to join him on the feet.
Duane Craig has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Lamont Blevins is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Blevins, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
